Use of Steel Sets in Underground Coal

摘要

The report presents information on the use of steel supports in U.S. coal mines, including accident statistics for a 3-yr period and a survey of present applications and problems. It also contains a summary of available steel arch configurations and a description of steel support design criteria for ground control applications.
