Habitat Suitability Index Models: Lake Trout (Exclusive of the Great Lakes)

The Habitat Suitability Index (HSI) models for Lake Trout (Salvelinus namaycush) presented in this publication aid in identifying important habitat variables. Facts, ideas, and concepts obtained from the research literature and expert reviews are synthesized into subjective HSI models, which are scaled to produce an index between 0 (unsuitable habitat) and 1 (optimal habitat).
