Feeding Ecology of Some Zooplankters That Are Important Prey Items of Larval Fish

Diets of 76 species of fish larvae from most oceans of the world were inventoried on the basis of information in 40 published studies. This paper reviews existing knowledge of feeding habits of zooplankters that are important forage items of larval fish. These zooplankters were identified from 40 published studies inventorying the diets of 76 species of fish larvae from most oceans of the world. Eleven clupeiform, 38 perciform, 15 pleuronectiform, and 12 gadiform species were represented.
