摘要

The models, H20TRANS and DAYTRANS, are for hourly and daily timesteps, respectively, and use routine meteorological data. The models incorporate rates of snowmelt, precipitation, canopy interception, and litter and soil evaporation. Complete documentation of all equations is presented, as are the results from an initial validation on lodgepole pine at the Fraser Experimental Forest in Colorado. A sensitivity analysis of the models and a discussion of their range of applicability is also presented.
