Equity and Psychiatry: An Empirical Study

摘要

The difference in psychiatric treatment received by patients in 1978 as compared to 1950 on the basis of their sociodemographic characteristics was studied. The changing role of the state hospital, the contributions of the community mental health center movement and the role of private psychiatry were evaluated. The concept of equity was developed and applied to evaluating survey findings.
