Gender Roles in Development Projects: Instructors Manual

摘要

The report presents technical papers and case studies, based on A.I.D. experience, on the subject of women in development (WID). An instructor's manual for the book is here presented. An introductory section provides guidelines on how to prepare case studies of WID projects for use in training persons involved in WID project design and implementation; discussed are the pedagogical objectives of case studies, the general steps in preparing a case study and the outline thereof, and aspects of WID data collection. The remainder of the manual presents teaching notes for the case studies (from Indonesia, Tanzania, Kenya, the Dominican Republic, Peru, India, and Kenya) contained in the HIID book; each offers a synopsis of the case, teaching objectives, study questions, and a case analysis and teaching plan. The manual includes references to other publications in case writing; four annexes list references on the case study method and additional sources of information.
