The document is one of a series of preliminary assessments dealing with chemicals of potential concern in municipal sewage sludge. Each document provides a scienfic basis for making an initial determination of whether a pollutant, at levels currently observed in sludges, poses a likely hazard to human health or the environment when sludge is disposed of by any of several methods.
