Effects of Highway Runoff on Receiving Waters. Volume 2. Research Report

摘要

Results of comprehensive field monitoring programs at three sites for highway runoff are reported in the volume. One stream site (WI Hwy 15/Sugar Creek) and one lake site (I-94/Lower Nemahbin Lake) were located in Southeastern Wisconsin. The third site (I-85/Sevenmile Creek) was located in the Piedmont region of North Carolina. Monitoring at each site was conducted for one year. The scope of these programs included meteorological and hydrological monitoring. The results of extensive bioassay testing are also included in the volume. Runoff samples from both urban and rural highways were used with a variety of test organisms.
