Effects of Highway Runoff on Receiving Waters. Volume 1. Executive Summary

The volume summarizes the research undertaken to determine the effects of highway stormwater runoff on receiving waters. Included in the effort were one-year field studies at three sites and preparation of three user oriented manuals: (1) a guidelines manual for conducting field studies of receiving water effects, (2) a procedural manual for use in writing NEPA documents, and (3) a resource document which summarizes all existing information on receiving water effects.
