摘要

A new method has been developed for predicting activity coefficients in ternary mixtures from group contributions. The Hard Sphere Corresponding States Theory method was found to be comparable to or better than the ternary van Laar equation. The method has been applied to mixtures which include polar and hydrogen-bonding components. Results indicate that this method is useful for predicting activity coefficients of ternary mixtures from binary activity coefficient data.
