Investigation of Five Sites Along the Pecos River Road, Dalton Canyon to Terrero, San Miguel County, New Mexico

摘要

A testing program demonstrated National Register eligibility of five sites along the upper Pecos River Road. The homestead and farm structure sites reflect an economic strategy based on diversification of plant and animal domesticates and cash-producing activities, use of game animals and wild fruits, minimal purchase of consumer goods, and repair and creative re-use of worn and cast-off items.
