摘要

The research was designed to provide estimates of the criterion-related validity of aptitude and ability test item types used with semiprofessional occupations. The Schmidt-Hunter interactive validity generalization (IVG) procedure was employed to estimate the mean true validity and the standard deviation of the true validity coefficients for each item type. Semiprofessional occupations are white collar occupations with journeyperson grade levels falling between clerical and professional journeyperson grade levels exclusive of occupations in the health, science and engineering fields.
