Structure and Properties of Thermite Welds in Premium Rails

摘要

The report covers the results of a study on the thermite-welding of premium rails; the premium rails comprised head-hardened rails and CrMo, CrV and Cr alloy rails. The work was conducted to establish thermite welding procedures applicable to premium rails and to determine mechanical properties of the welds.
