Amplified Enzyme Immunoassay for Hepatitis, a Virus Detection in Shellfish and Shellfish Harvest Areas

摘要

The purpose of the project was to develop an amplified enzyme immunoassay test (A-ELISA) of suitable sensitivity and specificity for rapid detection of hepatitis A virus (HAV) in shellfish and shellfish harvest areas. The specificity of the test was to depend upon high-affinity monoclonal antibody, while sensitivity was to depend upon a biotin-avidin system for amplification of antibody-enzyme interaction through multiple-site binding.
