Methodology for Establishing Comprehensive Instream Requirements and Predicting Flow Deficiencies

Sustained increase in offstream demand over the past few years has resulted in instream demand for water-based recreation, fish and wildlife propagation. The objectives of the project were to develop and illustrate a method for establishing instream requirements and for statistically predicting flow deficiency patterns with respect to these requirements for selected stream segments in South Carolina.
