Comprehensive Study of Roadmeter Roughness Number with Riding Comfort for Indiana Pavements

In the study a total of 94 test sections on four pavement types; flexible, overlay, continuously reinforced concrete (CRC) and jointed reinforced concrete (JRC); were selected within a 70 mile radius of Lafayette. A 20 member panel rated these test sections to determine the PSI (Present Serviceability Index), and the sections were also treated with a roadmeter to determine the RN. In addition, visual condition ratings were performed on each test section.
