Tellico Archaeological Survey, 1977. An Overall Assessment of the Archaeological Resources of Tellico Reservoir

The report documents the results of the two month, walkover survey conducted in the spring of 1977 in Tellico Reservoir. The survey was undertaken in order to determine if a significant quantity of potentially important archaeological resources were present, yet undiscovered, in the below pool zone of Tellico Reservoir. Although a couple of additional problems are considered in the study (i.e., lithic raw material variability and sherd assemblage classification), the report only considers data relevant to the resolution of this question.
