Chautauqua County, New York, Export Assistance Grant Final Report, September 28, 1984-September 27, 1985

The Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency received from EDA a $30,000 grant to establish a cooperative effort with the U.S. Commerce Department, the State of New York and the Port Authority of New York/New Jersey to facilitate exporting by new-to-exporting small and medium-size firms. The project called for the preparation of product and market analyses for ten area firms with the potential to export. The majority of these firms are manufacturers, working with glass, chemicals, machine parts and containers, for example. The Port Authority's XPORT Trading Company assisted with the analyses and was available to enter into marketing agreements with interested firms.
