摘要

The Interstate Milk Shippers Program, administered by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), is a voluntary federal-state program directed at safeguarding the public health by ensuring a safe and wholesome supply of Grade A pasteurized milk. In July 1980 a new test method was incorporated in the Ordinance for detecting the presence and levels of antibiotics remaining in pasteurized milk. In January 1982 a maximum level of antibiotics permissible in milk was established in the Ordinance using the 1980 method.
