Space Station Polar Platform: NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric) Systems Considerations and Requirements

This is the fourth in a series of NOAA/NESDIS Technical Reports on the Space Station Polar Platform project. The report describes the systems considerations that must be taken into account for NOAA to use the Polar Platform. Issues addressed include overall systems configuration, instrument assemblies, support subsystems, communication links, servicing, orbits, altitudes, ground data processing, archiving of data, international participation, and organizational roles and responsibilities.
