The Red Dog zinc (Zn) and lead (Pb) deposit is located in northwestern Alaska, about 130 km north of Kotzebue and 75 km inland from the Chukchi Sea Coast Mine operations, facilities, surrounding vegetation and wildlife are described in Weber Scannell and Ott (1998). A chronology of development and operations at the Red Dog Mine is presented in Appendix 1. Aquatic resources in the Wulik River drainage are described in Weber Scannell et.al. 2000.
