Catch and Effort Data from a Sample Survey of Charterboat Captains in the Southeastern United States, 1984

A sample survey of recreational-fishing catch and effort of charterboats in the southeastern United States was conducted by personnel of the National Marine Fisheries Service, Southeast Fisheries Center, Panama City Laboratory, during 1984. The 1984 survey used techniques developed in a 1982 pilot study (Brusher, Williams, Trent, and Palko. 1984. Mar. Fish. Rev. (46)3: 8 p.) and first implemented in a full-scale survey in 1983 (Williams, Brusher, Palko, and Trent. 1984. NOAA Tech. Mem. NMFS-SEFC-139, 170 p.). The purpose of this report is to make the detailed 1984 data available. These data, like those from 1982 and 1983, are available in computer-compatible form through the SEFC Panama City Laboratory.
