River Information Digest for Popular Western Whitewater Boating Rivers Managed by Federal Agencies

The purpose of the Digest is to provide a ready source of boating recreation information about federally managed whitewater rivers in the Western United States. This is not a complete listing and deals only with those rivers managed by Federal Agencies and which are used for whitewater boating in the west. The information is general in nature and contact points are given for more detailed information. Each section begins with a sketch map showing the approximate location and identification number for each river. Next comes a matrix listing general information for each river. Finally, a narrative provides more detailed information including addresses and telephone numbers of the responsible river manager. The same river identification number is used on the map, matrix and narrative.
