Economic Impact of the Recreational Boating Industry in Texas

Recreational boating is a use of leisure time enjoyed by many people in the state of Texas. Besides providing recreational enjoyment, the recreational boating industry contributes to the growth and maintenance of the state economy. The recreational boating industry in Texas is composed of four primary sectors: boat and trailer manufacturing; boat equipment manufacturing; marinas and boatyards; and marine trade. The type and estimated number of establishments in each sector in 1983 are shown in the report.
