摘要

Activity by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) at White Sands, New Mexico, was directed at providing visible wavelength calibration of earth oriented satellite instruments. A Filter Wedge Spectrometer (FWS) was flown in an aircraft at an altitude of 11.28 km. The FWS viewed the earth in a vector parallel to that of the Visible Spin Scan Radiometer (VISSR) satellite aboard a geostationary satellite, and data was taken near solar noon. Samples of FWS Sands radiance from June and September 1981 are presented.
