摘要

The idea of using the GPS technique for the WEGENER project has been reviewed under three aspects: mobile laser site surveying, intra-plate deformation study and completion of the main WEGENER-MEDLAS network. The precision of the baseline determination has been studied in detail and its sensitivity to different bias and error sources has been tested by numerical simulations. The factor which influences the results most seriously is the orbit inaccuracy, but this influence is not so grave as supposed by other authors.
