摘要

The research has successfully demonstrated the ability of a rotating-arc, plasma-combustor hybrid to increase the radiant flux from a turbulent methane diffusion flame. The maximum increase in radiant flux observed was 3.4 times that of a non-augmented flame. The research further showed that, using Laser Mie scattering, there was no increase in particle emission rate due to the augmentation.
