Architecture for a Reconfigurable Computer Vision System

摘要

The objective of the Phase One research grant was to evaluate the feasibility of a cost effective generic computer vision system for industrial vision applications and to identify the critical technologies for its development. After identifying the requirements of the computer vision system, the key technologies included VLSI processor designs, processor interconnection networks, and computer architecture concepts. In each of these areas the objective was to identify solutions in several specific problem domains of the real-time image understanding system.
