The Information Bulletin sets forth goals and principles for Veterans Administration health care professionals to use in diagnosing, treating, and caring for patients with dementia. It focuses on clinical issues rather than on any one professional service, care unit, or bed section. It is designed for use by health care professionals in such disciplines as medicine, nursing, psychology, occupational and rehabilitation therapy, and social work, particularly by members of teams providing care to dementia patients.
