Land Mobile Radio/UHF Television Technical Advisory Committee Final Report in the Matter of Further Sharing of the UHF Television Band by Private Land Mobile Radio Services

On May 31, 1985, the Federal Communications Commission adopted a Notice of Proposed Rule Making ('Notice') in General Docket No. 85-172 looking toward the use of UHF television spectrum in eight cities throughout the United States by eligible users in the Private Land Mobile Radio Services. Simultaneously, it adopted a Memorandum Opinion and Order ('MO&O') in the Docket No. 85-173 proceeding establishing a Land Mobile/UHF Television Technical Advisory Committee to provide assistance to the Commission regarding the possibility of additional land mobile use of UHF television channels. The Report is the work product of the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) established by the FCC in the Docket No. 85-173 proceeding.
