DOD (Department of Defense) Credit Management and Debt Collection Program

The Directive reissues and consolidates the authorities and reporting requirements prescribed in DoD Directive 7045.13, August 22, 1983. Under Office of Management and Budget Circular A-129, May 9, 1985, it establishes the credit management program, which includes debt collection and related policies and procedures and assigns responsibility for credit management and debt collection within the Department of Defense. The Instruction implements the provisions of Public Law 97-365.
