Health Consequences of Using Smokeless Tobacco: A Report of the Advisory Committee to the Surgeon General

This report discusses the health consequences of smokeless tobacco use. It constitutes a comprehensive review by an Advisory Committee to the Surgeon General of the available scientific literature to determine whether using smokeless tobacco increases the risk of cancer and noncancerous oral diseases and effects, leads to addiction and dependence, and contributes to other health consequences.
