Polysaccharide Production by Microalgae. Final Report. Phase 2

摘要

The project developed the basic information for a rational process design and feasibility analysis for the production of industrially important polysaccharides from micro-algae. The data collected on the productivity (tons/ha/yr) of polysaccharides attainable; the reliability of producing nearly unialgal cultures in open production systems; the ease of extraction and purification of the polysaccharides; and the properties, and thus value, of the polysaccharide product together with any possible co-products (pigments, protein, etc.) are presented.
