Research and Development Funding Schemes of Central Government Agencies: General Information (3rd Edition)

Out of the total annual expenditure on science and technology by major scienctific agencies of the Central Government, about 4% is spent for supporting time-bound R and D projects implemented at various academic and other institutions. Several Central Government agencies operate research and development funding schemes for such purposes. In order to facilitate effective utilization of these schemes by the scientific community, the Department of Science and Technology brought out a general information booklet on Research and Development funding schemes of Central Government agencies. The booklet is brought out to meet the increasing demand of the scientific community for information on R and D funding schemes, and contains updated information given by the agencies.
