摘要

The Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site (KNRI) was created by an act of Congress in 1974 to preserve and interpret a group of pre-historic and proto-historic native American sites in North Dakota. The magnetic surveys dealt with in the report provides information on subsurface features of a selection of sites in the KNRI in order to complement surface collection studies and test excavations. The surveys commenced in 1976 and continued through 1981. The report discusses the surveys conducted up through 1979.
