Compression Tests in Grain Direction in Spruce. Parameter Estimation of a Nonlinear Rheological Model Based on Reaction Kinetics of Bond Breaking

摘要

As part of a research and development program for timber of the European Economical Community, a creep and damage model, based on the kinetics of bond breaking, will be investigated. A theoretical derivation of the model is given in the report, and the analysis leads to a parallel system of Maxwell elements with the general strain rate equation.
