摘要

As part of a research and development program for timber of the European Economical Community, a creep and damage model, based on the kinetics of bond breaking, is investigated. A theoretical derivation of the model is given in the report, and the analysis leads to a parallel system of Maxwell elements with the general strain rate equation given in the study. The solution of the equation is discussed and because of the long relaxation time the equation for the early part of the total creep process can be used.
