摘要

As part of the EPA's Complex Terrain Model Development Program, the Full Scale Study was conducted at the Tracy Power Plant near Reno, Nevada. SO6 tracer gas and oil-fog particles were injected into the base of a 91.4 smokestack, and CF3Br tracer was released from one of three levels on a 150-m tower upwind from the targeted terrain. During 14 experiments at night or early morning from August 6 to 27, 1984, a tracer concentration data base of over 11,000 hourly samples was accumulated for both tracers at 110 sites. Meteorology data recorded on a 150-m tower included wind, from triaxial propeller anemometers at six levels, sonic anemometers at three levels and temperature from sensors at six levels. All data, tracer and meteorological, were stored on magnetic tape to provide an accessible computer data base. Tape files were fully documented to facilitate utilization of the data base for modeling efforts.
