Design of a Drinking Water Quality Monitoring Program

摘要

The report reviews literature on the impacts of acid deposition and the effect of acidic water on drinking water quality has revealed that the majority of surface water supplies in Massachusetts are vulnerable to acidification, that surface water supplies have experienced historical losses of acid neutralizing capacity, and that the primary potential cause of acidification-related water quality degradation of household drinking water is the corrosion of water supply distribution pipes.
