Side Impact Protection in Production Vehicles MDB-to-Car Side Impact Test of a 26 deg Crabbed Moving Deformable Barrier to a 1984 Chevrolet Celebrity at 33.6 mph

Testing was conducted on a 1984 Chevrolet Celebrity 4-door Sedan. The test vehicle was impacted on the left side by a moving deformable barrier. The test was a simulation of an intersection collision with the striking vehicle travelling at 30 mph and the struck vehicle travelling at 15 mph. Occupant responses of two side impact dummies were measured.
