Mapping and Stabilization of Alahaka and Oma'o Heiau: Archeology at Pu'uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park

Numerous heiau exist within Pu'uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park. The best known ones are the four that are within the refuge area that is enclosed by the Great Wall. They are the 'Old Heiau,' 'Ale'ale'a Temple, Hale o Keawe, and Hale o Papa. Archeological excavations have been conducted in all four of them.
