EACD-3D: A Computer Program for Three-Dimensional Earthquake Analysis of Concrete Dams

A procedure has been developed for three-dimensional analysis of earthquake response of concrete dams (1,2,3,4,). The effects of dam-water interaction and of alluvium and sediments, usually present at the bottom and possibly at sides of actual reservoirs, are included in the analysis. As a first step towards considering the effects of dam-foundation rock interaction, the flexibility of the foundation rock is considered in the analysis but its inertial and damping effects are ignored. The report is concerned with the computer program EACD-3D that implements the analytical procedure.
