Impact-Echo: A Method for Flaw Detection in Concrete Using Transient Stress Waves

摘要

The report covers a nondestructive test method for heterogenous solids, analytical, numerical, and laboratory studies of transient stress wave propagation in plain plates and in plates containing flaws are presented. The test method involves introducing transient stress waves into a test object by mechanical point impact and monitoring reflections of the waves from internal defects and external boundaries using a point receiver.
