The report presents descriptive data on total serum cholesterol levels by demographic and socioeconomic variables, and oral contraceptive use for women. The information is from the second National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, a national probability sample survey of the civilian noninstitutionalized population of the United States conducted in 1976-80.
