Genetic Knowledge and Attitudes: A Multiethnic Study

摘要

The study sought to: characterize the levels of knowledge concerning genetic factors in human health and disease among specified subgroups of an urban, multi-ethnic population; examine the perceptions and attitudes of these ethnic and socioeconomic subgroups as to the prevalence 'burden' and manageability of genetic disease; identify those sociodemographic characteristics most predictive of positive inclinations to utilize current and anticipated genetic technologies.
