Provides a detailed description of the models used by the Bureau of Economic Analysis to cyclically adjust the Federal budget and debt, and to estimate inflation-induced changes in the cyclically adjusted budget. Included are quarterly data for the variables in the models and regression equations used to derive the coefficients in the models. Also discussed are the methods to estimate cyclically adjusted debt.
