Vaccination against Brucellosis in Ruminants Using Inactivated H38 Vaccine

Brucellosis is a serious disease of economic importance which causes chronic conditions and disorders among ruminants at sexual maturity resulting in abortion, death, or stillbirths. Further, brucellosis constitutes an important zoonosis of a professional type, affecting veterinarians, stock breeders and dealers in meat. The book addresses the prevention of the disease through vaccination. It is divided into three parts: part one examines the position with regard to prophylactic vaccination against the disease, part two examines the vaccination regulations and the vaccine itself, and part three discusses the H 38 vaccine and its use on ruminants.
