Survey of International Trends in Government Information Dissemination

摘要

Information policies (paper and electronic) of seven countries, Canada, the Federal Republic of Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan and Singapore and one international organization, the European Communities (EC) were surveyed. The purpose is to assess the policies of the countries studied and determine what the OTA can learn from experiences in other countries. Another purpose is to ascertain whether or not any of these countries have progressed beyond the United States in the development of their electronic information policies. The study has determined that the United States has evolved further than any other of the industrialized nations in disseminating government information through electronic networks.
