The lecture summarizes the impact of dietary fat on human health. The potential benefits of omega-3 fatty acids from fish oils were especially emphasized. Topics covered included human fat metabolism and the relationship between dietary fat intake and disease. Recent research altered current concepts of the potential mechanisms of diet-induced effects on health and disease.
