Study on Fiber Cleaning Technology by Means of Solvent Replacement

The authors proposed a novel fiber cleaning technology using perchloroethylene and Freon R113 which have different dissolving powers even when used in a single machine, to replace the conventional single-solvent fiber cleaning method normally used in dry cleaning machines, and studied the basic technology to support it from both theoretical and experimental aspects. Practical results such as the limit mixing ratio so that both solvents maintain and exhibit their own characteristics, a new drying method using Freon R113 after cleaning in perchloroethylene, and economical fractional distillation technology to maintain the limit mixing ratio of the two solvents, were obtained.
